4/1/2015 RING-A-LING-LING

Today has been one of those days when it seems I have been on the phone all day.  Last night Mom went to spend the night with Aunt Gail and take her to her colonoscopy appointment this morning.  Thank goodness everything went well with that.  My first phone call was from Mom this morning to tell me that all went well and she would be home later.  GOOD NEWS!!

My next 3 phone calls were from Virgil.  He had a load that cancelled so we had to figure out where he could go and still get him home this weekend.  Thankfully, this was fairly easy to do.  I hate dealing with those kinds of problems.  We get a good run for him figured out and either the customer or Schneider screws it up.  What a pain.

My next phone call was from my beautiful granddaughter Taylor.  She is 16 and an absolute doll.  She called to ask me if I would help her take in her dress for Prom as it is to big.  We discussed what needed to be done and when we could do it.  When we were finished, I said to her, "Doesn't your mom sew?"  She said yes but mom would figure out some way to mess it up.  Too funny!!!!

Joey called me next on his way home from work.  He had to tell me a story about my other granddaughter, Jocelynn.  Now Jocelynn is 5, very smart, very much an extrovert and most definitely the DRAMA QUEEN of all time.  So Joey was telling me that this sweet little daughter of his had gotten into her mom's makeup bag on Monday.  She likes to do things like that.  Anyway, she had "stuff" all over her.  Evidently, something in the makeup bag did not agree with her skin and she ended up with a rash on her chest and on one of her legs at the panty line.  So when Joey got home from work on Tuesday, little Miss Drama Queen had decided that her leg would not work because she had a rash.  She had her older brother, Cameran, who is 13 and on Spring break catering to her.  When daddy (Joey) got home, Jocelynn was upstairs laying on the bed watching TV.  When she heard daddy's voice she started moaning and groaning loudly in order to get daddy's attention.  He went upstairs to see her and she told him how she couldn't move because of the rash.  Joey took her and washed her up and put medicine on the rash, the whole time with her screaming that it hurt.  By now I am rolling with laughter because I can picture her doing this.  She really is a drama queen.  Joey gets her taken care of and sits her on the couch.  When dinner is ready, he has to carry her to the table because "she can't" walk.  Now she tells him she can't eat because her arm doesn't work.  OMG!!!! I am laughing so hard I can barely stand up.  Joey tells her to eat with her other hand because he is not feeding her like a baby.  After supper, he takes her to her room and lays her on the bed.  He said she just laid there staring into space because "she can't move".   About 10pm Jocelynn is yelling, "Daddy, Daddy" and he goes to her room.  She says "I have to pee".  He tells her to get up and go to the bathroom.  "I can't walk" she says.  So he picks her up and takes her to the bathroom, sits her on the toilet and when she is done he takes her back to her room.  Oh my, this child is good.  She has them all wrapped around her finger.  She is the cutest, most adorable little girl ever, but my, oh my, she is a stinker.  Hope her "rash" is all better today or Dad, Mom and big brother will be exhausted by the time it is gone.  I so needed a good laugh today.

Good News!!!!  Chad has found a full-time job after more than a year of working through a temp agency.  Hope everything works out well for him at this new place.  He's had a rough time for quite a while.  At least one of our kids is headed up.  Now to work on the rest of them.

I talked to Jeffrey (my oldest) tonight.  Unfortunately, he and his wife are getting ready to split up and get a divorce.  His wife, who obviously doesn't have a lot upstairs, was talking to a friend of hers on the phone about it and told the friend that Jeff was going to be moving out.  And their 5 year old, Avery, heard her say it.  Now he is extremely upset, angry, mad, you name it, he is not a happy little camper.  And evidently he has been acting out very badly for a couple of days and Ashley doesn't know how to handle him.  Good grief girl.  Try being a mother for a change instead of a slut.  Anyway, Avery got sent off to spend the night with Ashley's mom.  She should have sent him to this grandma because the other grandma is no smarter than her daughter.  She didn't even raise her daughter.  Ashley was raised by her grandmother so I don't think Ashley's mom is qualified to be a grandmother.  She has no previous experience as a mom.  I, on the other hand, have raised 3 great children, have 2 more "adopted" sons and have 5 grandchildren older than Avery, 4 of whom are teenagers now.  This grandma could calm him down and talk to him.  What's a grandma to do?

Okay, last phone call to Virgil to say goodnight.  Now it's time to go to bed and get up in the morning and get some things done.  Have a good night everyone.
