Jerry's Battle

August 23, 2011 -- Today Jerry was admitted to the hospital. He has been throwing up for two days and when he went to see the dr today, they straight away sent him to the hospital. He is in extreme pain.

Most everyone knows now that Jerry was taken to the hospital by ambulance this morning because he was in severe pain and throwing up. So glad Jerry was doing better when he made me go home tonight. I will be back there first thing tomorrow morning taking care of him. They are doing a scope around noon tomorrow and they are going to do a biopsy and radiation just not sure when they are going to be doing that. Thank you everyone for all the prayers. He needs alot of them right now. Love you guys.

Jerry is going down soon for scope

Jerry is getting biopsy done now then the scope will be done later guess they had a conflict with the scope earlier.

Jerry is back from biopsy and ct scan he was in a lot of pain they did not put him out. They did ct scan of chest and head it came back ok. He will be going down around 5 or 530 for the scope to make sure he doesn't have any bleeding in his belly or ulcers. Will let u know what it said

Jerry is now back in his room the scope he had done showed he has a little bit of gastritus no bleeding ulcers so good news

Been a long day and a long week, hope to get some sleep tonight, my mind doesn't shut off at night, constantly thinking about everything. Jerry was doing good when I left a little bit ago. He was going to be getting pain meds, hope he gets some good sleep tonight, he needs it so he can start healing more.

At the hospital neurologist was in this morning wants a mri of full spine to see if cancer anywhere else. They are thinking that possibly the cancer might have started in lungs. Not sure though

Still waiting to find when they are going to do the mri of his spine they are backed up

Jerry is still waiting on them to take him down for the mri. They can still take him down sometime tonight. I'm hope now, so I will let you all know tomorrow what they say.

Jerry is down stairs now getting his mri done is gonna take a couple hrs

So they couldn't do the mri because they strapped him down so he wouldn't move but it caused his back to really tighten up pain meds didn't help so they might have to put him out to do it

Still waiting to find out when he will be rescheduled for the mri they increased his meds so his pain has been less this afternoon.
