Debbie's Year of 2009

Following Rhonda's example I thought I should give an update on my family for 2009.

Virgil and I have spent our 2nd year in PA.  It is way to far from home and family.  Hopefully 2010 will see us back in Ohio.  Both our jobs continue to be very steady which is a very welcome gift in this dwindling economy.   Virgil's job is secure and will be what relocates us back to Ohio.  My job is secure as long as I remain here.  Hopefully, I have enough experience to locate a job quickly upon our return to Ohio.  I am going to start applying for positions in a couple of weeks.

Brandon (Virgil's youngest son) will turn 20 in April, 2010.  He has had difficulty in finding a steady job and has been working through a temp service.  Hopefully, the job he is at now will work out to full time.  He says he will not be returning to Ohio with us.  He has a very nice girlfriend, Michelle, who is going to college and working.  At this time he is still living with us.

Virgil's son Chad lives in Washington Court House in Ohio.  He has a lovely wife, Mandee, and 2 beautiful children:  Landon turned 3 on December 14 and Alivia will be 2 in April.  They make a wonderful little family and Chad works very hard to support them.  His job requires him to work 10 to 12 hours a day, 6 to 7 days a week.

My oldest son Jeff was remarried on August 9, 2009, to Ashley.  They are expecting a baby the middle of March.  They already know it is a boy and have named him Avery James.  His children are:
Jeffrey Robert turned 12 on October 27 and is becoming quit the little man.  I can't believe how big he has gotten. He is learning to play the trumpet in the school band and likes it very much.
Taylor will be 11 on March 2, 2010.  What a doll baby.  Taylor is working on learning to play the flute.  She is having a little difficulty in learning to read music but I think she will get it in time.  She is quite the little "drama queen" and is very good at bossing the boys around.
Nash is our little stinker.  He turned 9 on August 6 and has very definite ideas about what he likes and does not like.  He is still very small for his age, but played on the football team this past year and loved it.

Amanda and Scott celebrated their first year of marriage on August 8.  They are such a beautiful couple and Amanda truly loves Scott's son Dylan.  He turned 12 on September 17 and is a wonderful boy.  I adopted him in as another grandchild and love him as if he were my own.  Scott is a wonderful son-in-law.   He and Amanda take Grandma to lunch occasionally and Mom loves it.

Joe and Sherri have had a rough year.  Joey got laid off from his job early in the year and is now working parttime at WalMart.  I hope something opens up for him soon.  Their son Cameran turned 8 on October 27 and became a big brother just before Christmas on December 8.  Jocelynn Summer is a beautiful baby girl.

Mom is doing well.  She found out she has diabetes but can control it with diet.  Hopefully, she will be a very good girl and stay on the diet.  She does not want to give herself shots of insulin so I think she'll stick pretty close to the diet.

Personally, for myself, I just want to come home to Ohio.  I miss my family and my grandchildren are growing up way to fast.
